  1. Fine Arts Showcase
    • The Hollister High School Theatre Department will present its annual Fine Arts Showcase on Thursday, April 3. The event will include an Art Walk, with art from middle and high school students, and performances by the Tiger Theatre Company, Blue Harmony Singers, and the band and winter guard. The showcase will be held in the high school auditorium, gym, and commons areas, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, April 4th

  1. Taney County Spring Cleanup
    • The Taney County Commission has designated April 4-5, 2025 as the Spring Clean-up days. The following items will be accepted at no charge from county residents at:

      * The Transfer Station, 274 Buchanan Rd., Branson MO 65616
      * The Recycling Center, 20058 US Hwy 160, Forsyth, MO 65653 (3 miles east of Forsyth)

      Furniture, appliances (must be empty), automotive batteries, carpet, lumber, shingles, siding, guttering and almost anything metal will be accepted. No lithium batteries. No Boats allowed with fuel tanks. Glass is accepted at both locations anytime of the year; please separate glass from other material so that it can be put in the designated areas. Tires will be accepted at the Buchanan Road Transfer Station location only; there will be a $1.00 charge per tire. There will be a limit of 12 tires per resident. No commercial dealers (no commercial dealers will be allowed “free of charge” disposal), residents only. Proof of Taney County residency required, please have photo id with address or other acceptable confirmation of residence (electric bill, tax statement etc.). No household trash, no burn pile waste. No household hazardous waste will be accepted. Household waste is NOT accepted. Collection time will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. For further information, please call (417) 546-7268.

  2. Free Shred Day
    • Central Bank of Branson is hosting its annual Free Shred Day on Friday, April 4, from 9 a.m. - noon in the parking lot of Dollar General next to the main bank in downtown Branson. The event will feature complimentary, secure paper shredding with drive-thru unloading. You are welcome to bring up to 3 bags or boxes of papers to shred. For more information, call 417-334-4125.

  3. Hollister Night at Springfield Cardinals
    • The Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting a Hollister Community Night at the Springfield Cardinals this spring. The event will be held on the Springfield Cardinals' opening night on April 4 against the Wichita Wind Surge with the game starting at 6:35 p.m. The Hollister High School Tiger Pride Band will perform outside the stadium prior to the game and the Hollister High School Choir will perform the "National Anthem". During the 7th Inning Stretch, the Hollister Middle School will perform "God Bless America" and the Hollister Cub Choir will perform "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". Fireworks will be presented following the game. Tickets are $12 and are available at the Hollister Country Mart, Hollister Schools and the Hollister Chamber.

  2. Small Animal and Plant Start Sale
    • Forsyth MO Farmers and Artisans Market will host its 2nd annual Small Animal and Plant Start Sale on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 11048 E Highway 76, Forsyth. The event will feature vendors bringing rabbits, quail, chicks and chickens of various sizes and types, along with lots of varieties of plant starts. Interested vendors can call Glenda at 417-844-2113 to reserve a spot. Kissee Mills Candy & BBQ Company will be open that day with kettle corn and BBQ available for purchase.   3. Benefit for Fire Victims
    • A fundraiser for twenty-five families displaced by a fire in Kimberling City will take place on Saturday, April 5. The benefit will be held in the Kimberling Shopping Center parking lot. Ma's Place, along with other sponsors, will host the event on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Barbecue and ice cream will be served and three bands will perform, with the Highway 13 Band starting at 11:00 a.m.

  1. Holocaust Education and Awareness Week
    • The second week of April is Holocaust Education and Awareness Week in Missouri, and through the efforts of the Antisemitism Education Center of the Ozarks, a series of related special events will be presented for all residents and visitors in the Branson area.This special week in Branson, April 6-12, 2025, features a film festival at the IMAX Entertainment Complex, two special exhibits, and a children's event featuring Paddington Bear's connection to the Holocaust.For more information and the complete schedule, visit https://www.aecoedu.org/.
