      Rose O'Neill, creator of the Kewpie, is celebrated each year in Branson during the International Rose O’Neill Club Foundation’s Kewpiesta. Rose O’Neill enthusiasts and collectors gather to celebrate and study the life and works of Ms. O'Neill. Founded in 1967, the annual Kewpiesta combines great fun with educational seminars, workshops, contests, and opportunities to buy and sell Rose O’Neill and Rose O’Neill-related items. Kewpie lovers attend from all across the United States and other countries. A trade corner and auction are open to the public. For more information, please go to IROCF.org.

  2. Healthy Aging Program
    • The Taney County Health Department will be providing mobile heart health, diabetes screenings and education during a Healthy Aging Program for low-income adults ages 50 and older on Wednesday, April 30, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Branson United Methodist Church, 1208 W. 76 Country Blvd. The program will include free lab testing for those who qualify (fasting preferred), free educational resources, free glucometer (while supplies last), and free blood pressure monitor (while supplies last).   1. Ozark Mountain Prayer Breakfast
    • The 24th Annual Ozark Mountain Prayer Breakfast will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 6:00-8:30 a.m. at the Branson Convention Center. Ozark Mountain Prayer Breakfast is held each year in celebration of the National Day of Prayer. Included in the program is the presentation of The Don and Dorothy Gabriel Kingdom Builder Award, a time of prayer, scripture reading, music, and a hot breakfast. This year's keynote speaker is Amanda Hoenes, author, adventurer, entrepreneur and US Marine. Reservations can be made online at https://ozarkmountainlegacy.org/prayer-breakfast.     • The College of the Ozarks Music Department invites the public to a Concert Band performance on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Auditorium. This concert will feature a collection of pieces conducted by Dr. Powers. The event is free and open to the public.   1. Runway for Hope 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
    • Runners, aviation enthusiasts, and community members alike will have the unique opportunity to race down the runway at Branson Airport during the Runway for Hope 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run, set for Saturday, May 3. This one-of-a-kind event will take place on the tarmac and runway of the active airport, offering participants an unforgettable experience. In partnership with Hope Counseling Center, Branson Airport is opening its runway for this limited-time event. Runners will enjoy a flat, fast, and scenic course with a rare chance to experience an airport from a new perspective. There is also a 1-mile fun/walk option for an easy, enjoyable way to participate and show your support.This exciting opportunity for runners of all skill levels will raise funds to support establishing a children’s therapy program at Hope Counseling Center.Registration and Details: Date: Saturday, May 3, 2025 Time: 7:00 a.m. Location: Branson Airport, 4000 Branson Airport Blvd, Hollister, MO 65672 Registration: https://actnowracing.com/events/1085/runway-for-hope-5k-1-mile All registered participants will receive an official race T-shirt.   1. Kid’s Fishing Derby
    • The 19th annual Kid’s Fishing Derby, hosted by the Branson Daybreakers Rotary Club, will be held on Sunday, May 4, at the fishing ponds at Eiserman Park adjacent to the Branson Community Center, 201 Compton Drive. All fish will be weighed and prizes will be awarded in each age group consisting of ages 3-7 and 8-14. Limit of 75 participants in each age group. There is a $2 fee per child.   2. Jammin' for Jesus
    • Jammin' for Jesus will be held Sunday, May 4, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Hughes Brothers Theatre, 3425 W. 76 Country Blvd, Branson. Enjoy Gospel music by many great artists while supporting a different local charity each month. This month's charity is Ozark Mountain Music Association (OMMA). The OMMA camp guides young people into the world of music to help keep Ozark music alive and well for generations to come. We will be collecting individually wrapped snacks to help supplement the food they provide for the 50 kids attending camp. ‘Teen approved’ snacks such as, individually wrapped Little Debbie or Hostess snacks, Snack Crackers, Chex Mix, Cookies, Fruit Snacks and granola bars are appreciated, as well as cash donations to help fund scholarships to children who can't afford the camp.
